Overview

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is one the best, short, colourful and relatively easy trek. Ghorepani Poonhill lies in the western part of Kathmandu in the Annapurna region. This trek is one of the most famous trekking destinations. It offers impressive natural scenery and marvellous views of Annapurna Himalayas range. It is also a lifetime experience to see some of the most dramatic views of some of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world.  With pristine forests, diversity of flora and fauna it also encounters with the warm hardheartedness of the simple people. They have their own rich and varied customs which give you an insight into the typical lifestyle of Gurung and Magar people at Ghorepani Poonhill.

On the way of Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, you are sure to encounter the legendary Gorkha soldiers; the soldiers who had served in the Gorkha Army during the world war in many countries. The main attraction of this trek, situated at an altitude of 3210m, the most spectacular mountain spot on earth.

Day 01:  Arrive in Kathmandu
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly representatives and transferred to your hotel.  Free & easy for your sightseeing around Thamel, the tourist area and followed by a welcome dinner.

Day 02:  Kathmandu – Sightseeing 
After breakfast, depart for a cultural and historical tour of Kathmandu tour of Kathmandu city.
– Swayambhunath (For eyes temple), a hilltop temple in the middle of the Kathmandu valley.
– Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the biggest stupa in the world.  Its four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal directions is keeping watch for righteous behaviour and human prosperity.
– Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River.
– Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Pokhara 
After breakfast, leave early by Tourist Bus (6-7 hours) to the second largest city in Nepal, Pokhara. Along the way will stop by for lunch, arriving in the evening.  After checking in, free time for you to sightsee around this small town. You can walk along the lakeside shops and have your dinner of the many different restaurants along the lakeside.

Day 04: Pokhara – Nayapul (1050m) – Tikhedhunga (1540m) 
After breakfast, we will drive to the trekking starting point, Nayapul, about 1-hour drive to reach Nayapul. Start the trek up to Tikhedhunga and end the first day of your trek (about 5-6 hrs) “most of the days you are going to trek for 5-6 hrs”. Overnight at Tea House.

Day 05: Tikhedhunga – Ghorepani (2870m) 
After breakfast, you will start the trek up to Ghorepani, trek for 5-6 hours and overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 06: Ghorepani – Poon Hill (3210m) – Tadapani (2650m) 
Early morning wake up around 4-5am and trek for about 1hr to reach Poon Hill to catch the sunrise and view of Annapurna range Himalayas. Poon Hill is the Final Destination, a glorious place. At here, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful view of Himalayas and sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snowcapped mountain peaks.

It is on the 3210 meters above sea level. About 8-9am you will walk down to Ghorepani, the same Teahouse to have your breakfast. After that, you will start your trek to Tadapani, Overnight at Tea House.

Day 07: Tadapani – Ghandrung 
After breakfast, you will start the trek up to Ghandrung, trek for 5-6 hours and overnight stay at guest house.

Day 08: Ghandrung – Nayapul – Pokhara 
After breakfast, you will start the trek to Nayapul, private car/van drive back to Pokhara City. Free and easy time for you to explore the city.  Overnight at Hotel.

Day 09: Pokhara Sightseeing 
After breakfast, we will proceed for sightseeing around Pokhara. Visit Mahendra’s Cave where there is a small statue of Ganesh, the god of knowledge. This statue is not created by man but formed naturally by the flowing waters of the cave. A visit to David’s Falls, not far from the town where you can see a waterfall appearing from nowhere into many pools and finally disappearing after flowing through small cascades into cracks in the ground. Late afternoon you will proceed for a Boating at the Phewa Lake.  In the evening, free time for you to do your shopping pleasure. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 10: Pokhara – Kathmandu 
After breakfast, we will proceed to Take Tourist Bus back to Kathmandu (6-7 hours) and transfer to the hotel.

Day 11: Kathmandu – Departure(Home Sweet Home)
After breakfast, have your last minute shopping and Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
